Welcome back!
Fingers crossed it's a permanent goodbye to COVID, Delta and Omicron. We hope to never see them again (or any other virus named after a letter of the Greek alphabet!). Well yes, maybe COVID variants are still lurking out there but we have decided to learn to live with it. At Daytripperz that means a focus on small private tours, up to 7 passengers, a guide who is vaccinated with 5 boosters and follows all COVID guidelines on mask wearing, social distancing and cleaning. If you have Covid on the day of your tour, you get your money back.
How many can we take on tour? Whilst we prefer small groups of up to 7, we have sucessfully untertaken tours with up to 40 passengers, which used a combination of a 22 seater mid-sized bus, a 12 seater mini-bus and a 8 seater hyundai IMAX, travelling on different itineraries. Where do we go? Anywhere the others go, including the Coal River Valley; Bruny Island; south to the Huon Valley, Hastings Caves and the Southern vinyards and cider houses; west to Mt Field and Russell Falls, Tasmania’s rainforest wilderness; east to Port Arthur and Wineglass Bay; or scenic highlight tours of the Hobart area. Alternatively, we can tailor tours based on desired activity level or themes such as gourmet food, whisky and wine, history, scenery, adventure or culture. If you find a tour you like, let us know and we are happy to quote on a similar trip.
How much do we cost? Simple daily rates from $100 per person. We can keep our rates this low because we do not use third party agents or websites that typically charge up to 25% booking fees (which tourism operators are forced to pass on). As well as very competetive small group tours, at the moment we have a "charter a mini-bus and guide" Coal River Valley "special". A wine tour, which will take a party of 7 on a flexible (you choose the wineries) full day tour from $770. Contact us on the link below, email or phone) to see if there are any direct booking discounts available. How long are our tours? Most are of half or full day duration but we regularly undertake discounted multi-day tours of up to a week in duration. Typically these involve using Hobart as a base for daytours, to destinations including Bruny Island, the Huon Valley, Mount Field and Russell Falls, wine and distillery tours, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula and Wine Glass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula. Upon request, we can undertake tours that involve overnight stays in Northern and Western destinations including Strahan, Cradle Mountain and Launceston. WARNING With Summer approaching, increased numbers of domestic tourists and cruise ship numbers retuurning to pre-Covid levels, many of the more popular attractions may be over-crowded when you want to visit. The best way to avoid the crowds is to book a private tour with small and flexible operators like Daytripperz, who can "dart round" the larger tour buses on fixed itineraries and return to the best spots after they have left. For a slightly higher cost, a much better experience.
Just email daytripperz@westnet.com.au, tell us when you might be visiting and where you might like to go. We'll get straight back to you. If you're here already, message or call us on +61 (0)418 121 896.
Bon Voyage

Testimonials
- It's a great idea to use Daytripperz Tours as your tour guide. Thanks Hans for driving us around the Tasman Peninsula and customising the tour for me and my friend! Hans has an absolute wealth of knowledge of the history of Tasmania. We enjoyed our time in Hobart, especially the night we went to Mount Wellington to chase the southern lights (and we saw two wild potoroos accidentally!!).Thanks again!Highly recommended!!! Cheers!★★★★★

Finding Daytripperz was a serendipitous occasion for our stay in Bicheno. Hans was extremely friendly and accommodating. We got to see great scenery and met some cute native animals. Definitely 5 stars! Will be using Daytripperz when I come back to Tassie!★★★★★Khairul Nizam
With Hans as our guide and mentor whilst in Hobart made the trip for my group of difficult to please friends, a very special and terrific holiday. Hans has a wealth of knowledge of Tasmania that to me is unrivaled. He specialises in individual tour escapades which enhances the pleasure factor of a visit to the apple isle. Thankyou Hans.★★★★★James McCrea AO
